ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Four people shot at three different crime scenes has investigators looking into whether the shootings are tied to the same person. They haven't confirmed the connection, but say they are concerned that is the case. The most recent shooting happened Thursday afternoon at Cash On The Spot check cashing in York County. The suspect is still on the loose. The shooter was caught on surveillance video. Investigators hope someone recognizes him and has information that could lead to his arrest. .
Voters pass school expansion referendums in Unit 5
The kids at Washington, Lincoln, Oakland, Stevenson, Irving, . walked to school , atleast 90% . Now a large portion of kids are bused to unit 5 schools. Buses cost money !! . Build some new schools in a neighborhood where 90 percent of the kids could walk to school and if it is not diverse enough too bad. Try having a school board of members that make 30,000- 40,000 a year instead of 100,000 a year plus. These average income folks might have some fresh ideas on how to stretch a dollar because they have to everyday. Is there any problem unit 5 can solve without throwing money and consultants at it??? When they listed administrators in the paper this past year they left out about 1.5 million dollars a year of administrators and their salaries out of the paper. Each High school has 6 administrators.

Two charged after police pursuit
A 22-year-old Ottawa man is facing eight charges after a police pursuit that followed a theft and assault at a Stittsville convenience store. Ottawa police said Jesse Sample is charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failing to stop for police, break and enter, theft over $5,000 and two counts each of theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen goods under $5,000. A 16-year-old Ottawa male who was a passenger in the car has also been charged with possession of stolen goods, failing to comply with an undertaking and breach of a probation order. His name cannot be released as per provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. .
Patrick rules out serving in Obama cabinet
Patrick has been among Obama's strongest supporters, campaigning for him across the nation, speaking to the media on his behalf and helping him to raise funds. He planned to join other governors supporting Obama at a fundraising event Monday night at a D.C. hotel. Patrick was recently thrust into the Democratic presidential spotlight when he defended Obama after Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., accused him of plagiarizing lines from the governor's speeches. Patrick dismissed the controversy as "sort of a tempest in a teapot" and chided Clinton for making the charge. He said he had offered the lines in question to Obama after the former first lady's criticisms about her rival's rhetoric. Patrick also dismissed charges by Clinton that Obama lacks the experience to be an effective president.
