Are state parks next in the budget crosshairs?
The Illinois Chamber of Commerce, for example, is concerned Blagojevich will call for a new tax on carbon dioxide emissions from factories and power plants, which could cost the state’s companies millions of dollars. The administration cautions that it is not certain the new park fees or the so-called "carbon tax" will find their way into the governor’s final draft."I cannot talk about the budget proposal," Blagojevich spokeswoman Kelley Quinn said Monday.Blagojevich will outline his budget plan at noon Wednesday against the backdrop of a national economic downturn. For a chief executive who has backed high-profile programs such as a universal health care proposal, he faces a tough road with lawmakers who fought bitterly with him last year in an extended overtime session.
Super Bowl practice begins in the bubble
The Giants are back to work, practicing for Super Bowl XLII. Nope, writing it down doesn't make it sound any less ridiculous. Almost all of them were out inside the practice bubble this afternoon, with the notable exceptions of CB Kevin Dockery (hip) and LG Rich Seubert (knee). Both players were working with trainers on the sidelines. Seubert was wearing a big brace on his right knee. As usual, the media was booted from the bubble right after the individual drills, so we don't know yet if Tom Coughlin planned to hold anyone else out of the team drills. Keep in mind, though, he doesn't have to issue an injury report until Wednesday, so he probably won't. Meanwhile, Hank Gola, who's on the Patriots beat for the Daily News up in Foxborough, said Bill Belichick would not discuss injuries at all with the press (Shocked! Shocked, I am!).

Merely your wrong opinion, is all, Dubs. Reread the Bible again on the apostasy, because you clearly do not understand it.Off to other things tonight.I understand you are part of a large group that has twisted Biblical scripture to your own liking for thousands of years, even to the point that you want to throw out James and others who don't fit your neat little box of doctrine of saved by gracers. I understand that the trinity was not an early Christian belief, but started mostly at nicene in 325 AD by Constantine and his political leaders. When these leaders decided Christ and the Father were the "same substance" which then led to further heretic beliefs that we now have as the trinity. Thanks to the Catholics and their defining the Godhead as you now believe it today.I also understand that you think your beliefs are truth, but also just as you keep asking of us, you have no evidence of them.I also know you claim the bible is errant, but still get your beliefs from it? Makes little sense.
The Mac Guy: Two ways to add photo to an e-mail
Hey Mac Guy: I am interested in entering the world of professional Web development, specifically database-driven applications development. Back eons ago, I was a systems analyst/programmer/database and applications designer. I quit to become a stay-at-home mom right around the time the World Wide Web was starting to be spoken about. I am now taking online programming classes to update my skills. (I am taking PHP right now.) I know I need to upgrade my computer and software in order to even think about doing this professionally and wanted to see what you recommend for someone in my situation. I know I want to stick with Macs. I want to develop applications that will reside somewhere else. Most will be turned over to the client. I am specifically interested in database applications, so I would like to have appropriate tools for that kind of development on my system.
